I'm thinking about creating feeds and then displaying updates in form of a notification :) Thanks for the link!
Exceptionally good, quadruple roasted mountain oolong. Have you had any exceptional tea today?

!tea@lemmy.zip would welcome new posters aswell. The community has grown, but I'm not seeing a lot of activity there, sadly.
In desperate need of caffeine I whipped out the Shrimp Pu-Erh. What are you brewing today?

I'd say older than 3yrs. And sheng as opposed to Shu (ripe). The former is pressed and left to age, and the latter is cooked, speeding up the fermentation process, thus mimicking aging.
The two have completely different characteristics and taste differently. I'd say Shu is more forgiving in terms of steeping, but on the other hand is a lot heavier in taste, with more umami (fishy flavor)

I'd say age and smell. If it smells too fishy it's shit. When it comes to sheng (raw) pu-ehrs aim for older ones. Young shengs tend to be very bitter.
For me it's three kinds of oolongs, two pu-erhs, a white cake, and a couple of greens. What's yours?

Thanks! I have an idea how this could work and will start to work on this later this week, i hope:)
For me it was a blend of oolongs aged between 1989 and 1995. It tasted buttery smooth but with a hint of a very dusty attic.

Chemically theanine, taurine and caffeine are the same thing.
Kicking the day off with some Sheng Pu-Erh. What's your today's steep?

An empty stomach makes it even worse imho

There is a term used mainly for Pu-Erh teas - being tea drunk. That describes literal caffeine high invoked by ingesting a lot of caffeine relatively quickly.
Speaking from experience - the worst that had happened for me was not being able to sleep the night after drinking a lot of strong gong-fu brewed Pu-Erh teas.

That sounds cool!
Hey, I'm thinking about creating a web-based (PWA) app for subscribing to Lemmy RSS feeds, mainly for notifications. I've noticed that I strongly prefer to be notified of changes in my inbox or in my subscribed communities and I'm using a simple RSS reader now, but it doesn't really cut it for Lemmy. Would anyone be interested in using such app? I'll greatly appreciate feedback :)

But what if the password you want to set is already in use?

Thank you VERY much! That wasn't obvious enough c:
Hey, I'm on lemmy.zip but I still see lemmy.world in the app first on the list even when i don't have an account there. I'm wondering if there would be a possibility not to suggest lemmy.world in the menus if I'm already logged in somewhere else c: Edit: solved, refer the comments
I've heard that Raw (sheng) pu-erh, green and sometimes oolong teas are good for hot weather. Is it true? Do you have any recommendations or preferences on that?
A bit lighter in taste this time. Still a lovely steep of a good quality oolong. What's the last oolong your tried? Or are you planning on trying one someday?

Nice! I got mine a couple of months ago but It's been sitting in my cupboard since and it's begging for me to use it lmao

Yum! I see that it's shu, how does this one taste? Also, that mini shiboridashi-ish thing is pretty!

This one is not in a cake - this particular pu-erh literally comes from the bottom of the pan and is crystalized. But yes, I do get my pu-erh in cakes most of the time. When it comes to sources - I'm from Poland and it really depends. Local sources, yuunan sourcing, some Czech sources like Rising Tea.

Ooh, a mini compost! Please do share your progress, I'm producing a lot of spent tea-leaves and I'm wondering what to do with them c:
Hi! Please make yourself at home c: **As titled - what is your preferred brew or steep method?** **What do you drink the most? Hot or cold?** *I drink a lot of oolong and pu-erh teas brewing gong-fu style and I have yet to try coldbrew c:*

This tea is very unique - it's a 2005 Shu Pu-Erh tea, but with a twist! It tastes like fried Shrimp, and don't get me wrong - it's delicious.
Shan Lin Xi bug bitten and charcoal roasted oolong in the cup. What's in yours? Please don't feel intimidated by me doing gong fu :) It's just a preference, not a must.
I'm starting my day with the High Mountain Xiong Di Zai dancong from Yuunan Sourcing. What's in your cup today?
