Djent
Nice compositions, good tapping, great instrumentals and shredding. I think this counts as djent/prog-metal, posting it here first. How the heck have I missed this?
Today’s Bandcamp Friday haul was pretty good! Some math/djent/post, and some retro prog * Floral - The Second Floral EP * Strawberry Girls - Prussian Gloom (big chunk of the budget this month) * Pictures of Wild Life - fell into floating (single) * Jordsjø- Salighet (folky Finnish retro prog) * Jordsjø - Nattfiolen Suite (single)
The video for one of the new tracks. But another stellar album. Still instrumental, still some crazy drumming and playing, still some nice atmospherics and quiet bits. https://nightverses.bandcamp.com/album/every-sound-has-a-color-in-the-valley-of-night-part-one And that title had me wondering how long until Part 2. Enjoy!
Love the way this band sounds and the key the guitars are in. 1:34 is so goddamned good.
That riff is just dirty.

WAY back in the day (1999-2005 perhaps), I was an avid community member on tandjent.com. The guitar player for this band was the moderator. Learned a ton from him, Fredrik Thorendal, and many others on that forum. Now, things are bit more mysterious. Hopefully a Kbin/Lemmy community can bring people out of the shadows.
