With the stuff happening around YouTube and some people using different frontends, I thought it'd be nice to have a shared space to post interesting content and bypass the algorithm, which doesn't really work unless you have an account. Personally I'm also a bit tired of having awful videos recommended to me that impact my mental health. So feel free to post anything cool you find here so we can have a more organic way to discover content!
Got sent this, and the animation is actually quite well done for how simple it is.
The important part of the description > Almost 2 years ago, I saw a video that Steve Mould made about something called an atomic trampoline and the moment that I saw it, I really wanted to one. The only sad part is that it is now impossible to buy one, so instead, I decided to just make one myself.

A very Mr. Regular video about Anthrocon. A guest appearance of lots of stairs.
Video description for those who use a non US lemmy instance: > I'm back and I'm talking about old stuff that I miss --- My best description would be a video essay about how interactions with technology change how media is looked at.
> In the last week of December, 2028, humanity forgot about more than a century of pop culture. You've probably never thought about it, and never found it strange — but the reason is an artificial intelligence called Earworm. > > ⏩ is a series of YouTube videos from a future. > > WHY WE FORGOT THE 20TH CENTURY > > WRITTEN and NARRATED BY: Tom Scott > ANIMATED BY: Jordan Husmann http://jordanhusmann.com I've always kinda like the from a future videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JlxuQ7tPgQ&list=PL96C35uN7xGLevOgLkc2NZYnOt6DTK0Ht
Because youtube metadata is having issues, here is the description: > AC's fursuit guest of honor was the incredibly talented Sardyuon from Japan, and he wowed Anthrocon attendees three times on the main stage in the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom at the convention center. > > This was the first of his performances, his United States debut on Friday night. It was his first time to the states and it was an honor to be graced with his presence. Watch, enjoy, and be astounded at one of the greatest fursuit talents in the world today! Among the first fursuit videos I cam across. Its an oldie but still one of my favorites. Its a fursuit video in a furry video community, let the down-votes commence.

So https://meow.social/@TwilightSaint/112810490753805813 popped up in my feed and I had to find the full version. Sharing here because it's really nice.
Probably my favourite con video ever. The editing, syncing, and cinematography is all so good.

Just the right amount of silly for me.
This is a furry parody of Joost Klein's song "Europapa" (the Dutch entry to this year's Eurovision Song Contest). It's a very cute and silly video, and the music is so well made that I've been listening to it almost every day for the last few weeks. Most of the song is in Dutch, but there's a pretty good translation in the comments :3
It feels really good to be finished this after over four months of working on it. Also, is posting my own stuff here allowed? I don't post much, I just felt like sharing this thing I made.
As much as I like the marble machine song, I like this one better.
A selection from the comments section: *Someone, somewhere has a embedded Windows 95 OS controller in a factory that had no upgrade path options due to the vendor no longer being in business and being unable to afford anything beyond maintenance of the existing machines. You have no idea who is going to come out the woodwork but you almost certainly just saved a few million jobs globally with this project.* *The fact that MattKC can revolutionize windows 95 backporting like this, creating something that will make similar projects indescribably easier and still have less than 1 million subscribers is insane to me.*
I would not describe any of these as elegant in flight.
Check out the description if you want to see previous April fools videos.
Also check out the rest of [Charles Cornell's page](https://www.youtube.com/@CharlesCornellStudios), lots of cool music-theory vids like this
Now I want to see if someone can replicate this preforming it backwards, like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q93aHg0Altk
