latte.isnot.coffee offers open sign ups - should we implement anti-bot measures?

This instance has open sign ups - and is one of the instances which the lemm.ee admins noticed bot posts from.

Should we do anything to stem the bots? Would very much like the lemmyverse to be many small instances federated together, rather then just a few mega ones.
