They claimed it was feature complete in 2023. And now they claim it is two years away from release. You really think polish and optimization takes three years? Of course, they've claimed it is just two years away every year since 2016.
They are lying to you.

You have to understand that most Arab Americans in Michigan are lower 'c' conservative and frustrated the Republicans won't accept them. Unless the Dems completely abandon Israel to total destruction, they'll threaten to vote R.

Thanks, clicking submit disabled the binary sensor call_in_progress. But the main VOIP is set to assist_satellite.
Hey all, anyone know if there are any directions on how to swap out to the assist_satellite from this depreciated sensor? Normally when there is a swap like this, the Home_Assistant folks give us some directions, but I can't find squat on this.

Ok, after some looking around and testing, think I finally got what I wanted.
First, map the share, err mount the network share. Gotta use the Linux lingo. :P
sudo mount -t cifs -o username=MyUserName //PlexServerName/Sharename /mnt/movies/
Will have to enter both the sudo password and remote Plex server password manually, but that works for me as this is a manual, not automated, process.
And to sync:
sudo rsync -hvrPt --ignore-existing /Drive/SourceFolder/ /mnt/movies/
I was reading somewhere that using -a would add more options that might gum up the works, so I manually expressed what I wanted instead. But I finally got what I was looking for. If you have any suggestions, chime in. Thanks!

And after letting it run a couple of hours, it copied nothing. This is really odd. It looks like it is evaluating every file, but again not coping the stuff missing on the destination. Robocopy would take a couple of seconds to run through everything if there was nothing to copy.

I'm trying rsync right now, and it definitely is copying some existing files. Not all but some. Can't figure out why.
Or maybe it is evaluating them? Any way to force it to only look at folder and file names?
Hey All, When my desktop was Windows, I'd use my desktop to rip DVD/Blu-rays, move them to the movies folder, then use robocopy to copy just new files from my desktop to my Plex server. Used switches to copy just the new files and folders. What is the Linux equivalent to do this?

Let's face it, they didn't introduce master modes because of tri-cording, speeds, or jousting. They did it because their tech Jesus engine couldn't handle the previous flight model.

Hey All, I'm looking for a good softphone in Linux. I tried Linphone, but it had the same issue I had in Windows where I could send texts ok, but can't send and receive calls. In Windows, I used Microsip since it worked as soon as I configured it. Linphone seems to be "special." Any suggestions? And I don't care about video calls.
Hey all, noob here. In the system settings of Pop OS I chose dark mode. At first everything was fine. But something happened. This issue is only happening in the Show Applications area. It is dark mode, but the text is all black instead of switching over to a lighter color like it did before. Makes it tough to read as you can see in the screenshot. I've tried flipping to light mode and then back to dark mode several times of varying length with no success. Any tips to get it back to normal? Bonus issue: I have uninstalled OpenRGB, but it is still showing up in the app list as you can see in the screenshot. Any way to remove it? If I reinstall OpenRGB, I get a second icon.
So just got my computer switched over to Pop! OS. When I open the Pop Shop, the installers don't give me an option to change the location of the app installs. I have 4 disks, 2 nvmes, 2 hard disks. I would prefer to install some of my apps to the 2nd nvme, which I have mounted to /Apps. Mainly the games I will play, along with Stream and Lutris. Would I need to install from the terminal with apt or nala? I installed nala because it looks cleaner, but we'll see.

Hey everyone, I recently acquired the 4k77, 4k80, and 4k83. However, the 4k80 one looks grainy. 77 and 83 look clear in comparison. Did I just get a bad copy, or does 4k80 have issues?
Has anyone got Home Assistant to work with an IP phone as a local voice control? I have a Grandstream GXP 2140, and I cannot get it talking to HA for the functionality. It doesn't have the same settings as the Grandstream pots to IP Phone device from the article. https://www.home-assistant.io/voice_control/worlds-most-private-voice-assistant/ I have Whisper and Piper installed, and showing up under the Wyoming protocol. I have the IP Phone addon installed, but it never detects my phone.
T-Mobile is positioning to act like Comcast. Can't ignore it anymore.
Hey everyone, I've started playing around with Assist to use voice to kick off actions. However, I want to put an Assist widget on my Android home screen. The directions from HA say to open your widgets, go to Home Assistant, then long press the Assist widget. However, when I go to select a widget, there is no Assist widget available. I have Assist setup and I can access it from the mobile app. But I would like a shortcut so I can quickly access it. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Or is the documentation out of date? Phone: OnePlus 9, running Android 13. Hopefully this isn't an OxygenOS issue.
Hello Citizens! Has anyone tried Virpil and VKB flight sticks in Linux? Will the software run in Wine to configure the sticks? Looks like SC itself will run in Proton, so the next step is peripherals. How about head tracking with TrackIR or Tobii?
Been a while so I checked in on PlutoTV to see how it looks after being bought out, and it seems they got rid of all their geeky and quirky channels. Now the majority of their channels are dedicated to one show instead of a genre. The train channel for instance was always relaxing and fun to chill. I don't see any of the tech channels they used to have. Anyone know if those channels are still around on another service? I noticed the Plex Live TV channels are mostly dedicated to one show instead of a genre, so I'm not sure if this is an industry wide change. Too bad, PlutoTV seemed like the 90s cable niche channels before the major networks bought them all out and turned them into reality TV dumping grounds.
We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas! Meanwhile, my Hybrid Maverick is backordered so long, they're asking people to switch to the gas only engine. But hey, this stuff doesn't sell. Here's an idea, instead of only selling $80k+ EVs, sell some $25k ones.
So if they don't release Pyro at CitizenCon, how far out can they say it will be released without being yet another 2018 announcement? If they say sometime next year, count on at least 5 years. They really need to be CLOSE with the way they've hyped Pyro.
I know the Jahmyr Gibbs pick was a bit odd, and not immediately popular with us fans. But I ran across this YouTube video showing the declining value of RBs, and how they are having trouble getting paid. But around the 8:37 mark, he says RBs need to adapt and add value in the passing game, then holds up Saints RB Alvin Kamara as an example to support his argument. Kamara is getting paid, but has never broken a thousand yards rushing in a season. His value is in the passing game where he's a match up nightmare. This leads us to Jahmyr Gibbs, and the same possibilities he could pose for defenses. It's odd to see the Lions at the forefront of an evolving NFL. We still have to see it on the field, but we may have something special to look forward to during the season.
So I installed i2p on a Linux Mint VM. I'm able to see i2p sites, but I'm also able to browse clearnet sites, which I thought would not work. Does the default Linux installer configure an exit node by default?
Trolling the Packer fanbase? That's all right by me. lol
While we're in the dead season for NFL/Lions news, I have some questions for everyone: 1) Can everyone else post new topics? I unchecked the "mods only" option. So theoretically anyone can make a post. Can someone do that so I can rest comfortably? Probably just because we're in the dead season, but I'd rather find out now rather than once training camp starts. 2) What kind of features do you want in this community? Game/Post-game threads are the no brainers. What else? Anyone seen some automation for this? 3) Anyone planning to go to training camp? Want to give us your impressions? 4) Does anyone(s) want to do a Tuesday scouting report for the next opponent during the season?
Are we going to block Meta's Threads.net? I get it if people want to keep things open. However, Meta is a proven bad actor. They claim they didn't put in ActivityPub because it was too complicated to get it done at launch, and they can't get EU approval of their service because of the rampant and invasive data they gather. IMHO, they are going to attempt to muscle the fediverse out of the equation.
This evening as I'm browsing Lemmy, I'm getting nostalgic for the other, past experiences of something new and rough around the edges. I open a tab to [We Distribute](www.wedistribute.org), and find an article on [Radio Free Fedi](https://wedistribute.org/2023/06/radio-free-fedi/). I read it and click the link to [Radio-browser.info](https://www.radio-browser.info/). I click around exploring some music. Notice there is a Home-Assistant integration. Then I fire up my instance of Home-Assistant to install it. LOL, I already have it installed. I click around exploring radio stations. I'm reminded of the early internet days of icecast streams playing in Winamp. New, exciting, rough around the edges. I pull at threads of memory. I browse to [SomaFM](https://somafm.com/) and fire up Groove Salad in WinAmp. I listen, I chill, I pull at threads farther back. I pick up my Kindle and open up the book, *Neuromancer*. Reading, grooving, chilling. I'm remembering a past that didn't quite exist, reading about an imagined 80s future that never quite came to be. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
