Honestly, they should just cut him. Who would willingly trade for this guy, even if you're getting picks out of it??? This guy is a trash human being for what he did.
https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/rockets-looking-to-trade-kevin-porter-jr-following-domestic-violence-allegations-per-report/ Kevin Porter Jr.'s days with the Houston Rockets could be numbered. The 23-year-old guard was arrested for an alleged assault on his girlfriend earlier this week and the Rockets are looking to trade him alongside draft compensation, according to a report from The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Would be curious if they move them anytime soon though - maybe closer to trade deadline. McGee's contract seems to be a deal-breaker for many.

Who would've though that Dame would make a bigger fuss than Durant with his demands? Sheesh...
Mavs C Richaun Holmes waived his $1.8 million trade kicker, sources told ESPN. That allowed the Mavs to beef up the offer sheet to Matisse Thybulle, but Portland opted to match. Mavs still have MLE to use and are $10.9M under the first apron/hard cap, per @BobbyMarks42 .

Forreal, dude is crushing it. Probably making a killing off those commissions!
Dejounte Murray is finalizing a four-year, $112 million contract extension with the Atlanta Hawks that can increase to $120 million with bonuses, his agent, Rich Paul, told ESPN's Brian Windhorst on Thursday. Murray averaged 20.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists last season in his first season with the Hawks after being traded from the San Antonio Spurs. Murray teamed with Trae Young in the backcourt to lead the Hawks to a 41-41 record before falling in six games to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the NBA playoffs. Murray spent five seasons with the Spurs and was named to the NBA's All-Defensive second team in 2018.

Hopefully more to come! If we flip THJ + McGee who are both very movable contracts, plus maybe Richaun for a Jarrett Allen or starting center, oh man. This is shaping up to be a super exciting roster compared to what we've had.

They can crate $3.4M in flexibility by waiving and stretching JaVale McGee. Boston Trade exception created: $6.2M (projected) Keeping Williams at the same salary would have cost an additional $40M toward the tax for Boston. Boston doesn’t have access to the $5M tax midlevel because of the second apron. San Antonio Cap space: $12.5M Reggie Bullock is on expiring $10.5M contract.

All depends on what they're expecting out of the Lillard negotiations I suppose. Let me dream haha
Calvin 1y ago • 100%
Yeah... 2nd rounders and create a $7M TPE isn't really a great return. But considering they were wanting a first for a sign and trade, I guess they had to accept whatever the market actually gave.

Wowowo, Nico is making some moves! Now if the Mavs can flip THJ + McGee for a center, the roster will be looking great.

Wow, huge pickup for the Mavs. Great defender and a wing, where we desperately needed more players

I'm surprised as well. I think it boils down to not many other teams with that much larger offers, so it sounded like fit was more important for him. Either way, I feel like that's a great deal for the Clips.
Free agent C Mason Plumlee has agreed on a one-year, $5 million deal to return to the LA Clippers, agent Mark Bartelstein of @Prioritysports tells ESPN. Plumlee landed with Clippers at deadline and decides to stay with LA despite bigger financial offers elsewhere.
Seemingly tired of being involved in trade rumors for Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard, Tyler Herro made sure to send a message to the Miami Heat on Twitter on Sunday. The former Sixth Man of the Year removed "Miami Heat Guard" from his bio on the site, making clear his frustrations with the franchise that he's spent his entire four-year career with. After Lillard officially made his trade request Saturday—stating his preference to join the Heat—Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes reported that Miami was preparing to send a package that centered around Herro and Duncan Robinson as well as draft compensation. It's tough spot for Herro and the Heat as any deal for Lillard would have to include the 23-year-old to make the math work as he's about to enter the first season of his four-year, $130 million extension. However, it may not be such a straight forward deal as Portland is looking for a third team to reroute Herro to as it doesn't seem to keen on adding him to the mix alongside Scoot Henderson and Shaedon Sharpe, per Haynes.

Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges has signed a $7.9 million qualifying offer for the 2023-2024 season, clearing the way for him to become an unrestricted free agent next summer, his agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports, told ESPN on Sunday. With talks stalled on a new deal, Bridges' decision to end negotiations and stop pursuing an offer sheet or sign-and-trade deals as a restricted free agent set up the possibility that the Hornets could lose a 20 points per game scorer without compensation next year. After signing the qualifying offer, Bridges, 25, has veto power over any trade this season. Bridges negotiations were complicated by a felony domestic violence arrest and a plea of no contest that led him to miss the entire 2022-2023 season. Bridges has a 10-game NBA suspension awaiting him to start Charlotte's season. Before his arrest a year ago centering on a domestic violence case against the mother of his two children, Bridges had been a restricted free agent on the cusp of a $100 million-plus deal. The NBA's suspension, handed down in April, was for 30 games but the league decided that 20 of those had already been served in his lost season. Bridges was accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend in front of their two children in May 2022 and he was arrested a month later. He pleaded no contest to a felony domestic violence charge in November. As part of a deal with prosecutors, he was sentenced to three years' probation. The no-contest plea meant Bridges was accepting the conviction and punishment without formally admitting guilt.

I absolutely feel he's worth more than that. Sucks to see him go as I thought he was a good fit but hopefully with a bigger role, he'll shine

Great question...
I imagine the Heat will have to give up some combination of Herro + either Duncan Robinson or Lowry + several of their first round picks. Not a great deal at all for the Blazers unless negotiations involve moving Nurkic who's owed something like 54M over the next 3 years.
Lillard, Richardson, Butler, Adebayo, Nurkic would be interesting. But apart from that, no more depth on the bench with Vincent and Strus gone. The pickup of Thomas Bryant is fine and Kevin Love is just more a vet presence.
Patrick Beverley has agreed to a one-year deal with the 76ers, his agent Kevin Bradbury with @LIFTSPORTSMNGMT tells ESPN.
Free agent center Brook Lopez has agreed to a two-year, $48 million deal to return to the Milwaukee Bucks, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium .
D'Angelo Russell agreed to a two-year, $37 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, co-heads of CAA Basketball Austin Brown and Aaron Mintz along with Antonio Russell told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday. The deal includes a player option for the second year. Originally drafted by the Lakers with the No. 2 pick in 2015, Russell returned to L.A. in February as part of a three-team deal between the Lakers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz, coming from the Wolves to replace the outgoing Russell Westbrook. Russell, 27, averaged 17.4 points on 48.4% from the field and 41.4% from 3 with 6.1 assists in 17 regular season games after the trade.

I agree... It really feels like that era of staying with one team for one's entire career is over for so many players. I'll always value championships like Dirk's run in 2011 that much more because of it.
