Most of the libs in my life think the democratic party sucks. A lot of them are voting third party, possibly the majority. It's seemingly just people >35 and a tiny minority of true believers who are set on voting kamala (all of them white). The true believers scare me. Seemingly unlimited people can be killed by covid or in Gaza, and their brains are wired to ignore it. Why the fuck would anyone post pro-kamala shit on instagram

My family dog died yesterday. He was extremely old. He was most of the reason I ever came back to visit. I haven't seen him in nearly a year, but I'm really going to miss him. Redacted, I love you

Not gonna look at polls, kamala will lose. They'll blame Black/Hispanic people, men, Muslims, Jews, Jill Stein, and more, but the root cause will be the genocide in Palestine. If I'm wrong I'll run a marathon with no training or something similar idk
Both campaigns have no energy. Boring election cycle

The North's abandonment of peaceful reunification; the South revises plan (2024–present)
In December 2023, during a speech at the 9th plenum of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim called for a "fundamental turnabout" in North Korea's stance towards South Korea, calling the South the "enemy".[33] He stated "the party's comprehensive conclusion after reviewing decades-long inter-Korean relations is that reunification can never be achieved with those ROK riffraffs that defined the 'unification by absorption' and 'unification under liberal democracy' as their state policy", which he said is in "sharp contradiction with what our line of national reunification was: one nation, one state with two systems".[34]
Kim cited South Korean constitution's claims over the entire Korean Peninsula and South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol's policy towards the north as evidence that South Korea is an unsuitable partner for reunification.[33] He said the relations between the two Koreas currently were "states hostile to each other and the relations between two belligerent states" and no longer ones that are "consanguineous or homogeneous",[35] continuing by saying it is "unsuitable" to discuss the issue of reunification "with this strange clan [South Korea], who is no more than a colonial stooge of the U.S. despite the rhetorical word [we used to use] — 'the fellow countrymen." Kim also instructed the WPK on reforming organizations related to inter-Korean relations, including the WPK's United Front Department.[34]
Kim further confirmed a shift in policy in January 2024, when he gave a speech to the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) calling for the constitution to be amended to remove references to cooperation and reunification, as well as specify DPRK's territorial borders and add an article specifying the ROK as the most hostile country.[36] He also rejected the maritime Northern Limit Line, saying that "If the Republic of Korea invades our ground territory, territorial air space, or territorial waters by even 0.001 mm, it will be considered a provocation of war". He called for the removal of physical symbols such as the Arch of Reunification, which he called an "eye-sore". The SPA also voted on the abolition of three inter-Korean cooperation organizations; the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, the Korean People's Cooperation Administration, and the Kumgangsan International Tourism Administration.[36]
On March 1, 2024, the government of President Yoon Suk Yeol plans to develop a new vision of unification with North Korea to include the principle of liberal democracy. South Korea plans to update its vision of unification for the first time in 30 years. This is the first revision of the Unification Formula of the national community, South Korea's unification policy unveiled in August 1994 under the administration of late President Kim Young-sam.[37]
Appears to be a rejection of peaceful reunification under liberal democracy, but not outright rejecting reunification. Unfortunate about the arch though

LED headlights can be many times brighter than incandescent bulbs with no significant impact to life expectancy. Physically, incandescent bulbs produce light by heating up an element which decays relatively quickly. LEDs directly convert electricity to light.
In the US, there ARE regulations limiting how bright headlights can be, but aftermarket LEDs can be bought which exceed the limit. I've heard the EU and Asia already widely use adaptive headlight technology so it's a uniquely american car problem
Rules: - they are in their absolute prime - they can't form teams to gang up on anyone. This is a test of individual ability - no weapons

You liberals don't understand that Iran is edging right now. Edging is a prerequisite of gooning, gooning being retaliation against Israel. It takes time to edge and you need to let them do their thing
I'm going to vote for him at least 4 times this november
>PHOENIX—Following this week’s landmark Supreme Court ruling granting presidents broad immunity against criminal prosecution for official acts, Donald Trump’s campaign released an ad Wednesday that consists solely of a montage of people he will have killed if elected in November. The largely silent ad, which will reportedly air in battleground states across the country, features a sequence of headshots depicting politicians, former Trump White House officials, journalists, and seemingly random average Americans with big red X’s over their faces and the caption “These People Will Be Dead The Moment I Take Power.” With its images of hundreds of people—including current President Joe Biden, former Attorney General William Barr, former Rep. Liz Cheney, Kim Kardashian, Dale and Linda McPherson of Logansport, IN, and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg—the video was being viewed as a political masterstroke that highlights the former president’s vision for retributive bloodshed starting on Day 1 of his second term. At press time, Trump’s campaign announced that any critics of the ad would be featured in subsequent versions of the television spot.
look I don't have enough wifi to look up electoral results and french people won't talk to me, but some of the meals I've had in alpine refuges this week have been the best meals I may have ever had I am also so wine-drunk and so exhausted from being the fastest hiker I have encountered on the TMB. These may influence my opinions
I just broke a trekking pole descending Galdhøpiggen. I will soon be starting the Tour du Mont Blanc and an additional thru-hike after. If I buy a new set of poles from Decathlon, can I return them after I'm done? That's what the return policy appears to say, similar to REI in the US, but I don't speak French so idk
