Well it will probably keep working unless you update to a newer android version that could break the app. In the long term we have to hope someone picks up the torch.

I have a 2011 kindle, the silver one with no backlight . I got second hand from a friend and I use calibre on linux to convert books to the amazon format and copy them over via USB. It does the job but I have seen that these are like 20 ducats on eBay and other places if anyone wants a cheap option.

No fix the known bugs and then release. Release when its ready. Also its not devs hiding the bugs its the management and publishers promising and forcing devs to meet these arbitrary deadlines.

We have a deebot but its a dumber model, no internet connection no app no cameras. Just a remote with some rudimentary pathfinding and it does the job.
I would only trust selfhosted and foss stuff for anything in my home.

I like mini motorways and stardew valley. What about you ?
I was only able to play skate 3 so far with better performance than rpcs3. I didn't change any settings in the conf file. It is using the vulkan renderer. I limit the fps to 30, TPD to 8 and GPU to 1200. I'm trying a few games here and there to see but It can only improve over time.
I came across this as I needed to install some proprietary app to view a .pkpass file and I discovered this FOSS app instead that does the job and doesnt share the data with any third parties. Anyway I'm just spreading the word. The text below is copied from fdroid. "Displays Passbook (*.pkpass) files & shows the Barcode (QR, PDF417 and AZTEC format). It can be used also when offline. This app is a viewer for passes - a pass could be a e.g. boarding-pass for your next flight, a coupon for a nice hot beverage on the destination, a movie ticket, a membership card - there are a lot of possibilities. Basically it is a replacement for a piece of paper or plastic you would normally have to carry with you - so lets save some trees and reduce waste! How does it work? There are so called espass or pkpass files - you can open them with this app - e.g. when you receive them via email or get an Download-option. The most important content is the BarCode ( QR , AZTEC & PDF417which authorizes you most of the time - but it also has other interesting content like a description - often a time ( that you now can add to your calendar ) - often also locations ( to give you directions ) - just try It out! The app is offline usable once you downloaded the pass!"
In halo 2 the grunts side with the elites while the jackels side with the brutes and the prophets. Why then in halo 3 are the grunts fighting alongside the brutes and jackels ? I've been jumping between games recently and noticed it and I'm wondering was it ever addressed anywhere ?
You probably know the slum village classic already, this translates to "the look of love" by savage decibel, a rapper from Chile.
Irish MEPs across the political spectrum release joint statement calling for ceasefire in Gaza Irish MEPs from across a broad political spectrum this morning, Thursday 26 October, released a joint statement calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. The statement echoes the recent resolution passed by Dáil Éireann, the position adopted by the Irish government, and the recent statements of the United Nations Secretary General, and urges the Council of the European Union to call for an immediate ceasefire, as well as urgent efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of people in Gaza, ahead of the Council meeting today. The statement was initiated and drafted by Independents 4 Change MEPs Mick Wallace (LEFT) and Clare Daly (LEFT), and is co-signed by MEPs from every political group with Irish representatives, namely: Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan (LEFT) Colm Markey (EPP), Chris MacManus (LEFT), Grace O’Sullivan (Greens/EFA), Ciarán Cuffe (Greens/EFA)and Billy Kelleher (Renew). In a press release, Mr Wallace said: We feel it is extremely important that as Irish MEPs we stand together and amplify calls for a ceasefire ahead of the European Council meeting today. Ireland is a neutral country with a proud history of peacekeeping and therefore we feel Ireland’s representatives in the European Parliament speak from a unique position. We must do everything we can to stop the slaughter, the death toll is well over 5,000 now. It is important to keep the pressure on for a constructive intervention from the EU in line with international law.” Ms Daly also said: "The Palestinian people need our urgent support and solidarity, which is why we have asked all the Irish MEPs to join us in calling for a ceasefire. Europe's leaders will meet today and tomorrow to discuss the conflict. The terms of their statement matter. There is talk of them calling only for a “humanitarian pause.” That is not the same thing as a ceasefire - it amounts to a temporary stop to the killing, after which it will continue. It is essential that we remind them that it is imperative that the conclusions of that meeting include a call for a ceasefire, and for urgent humanitarian assistance to Gaza.” The text of the statement is as follows: "With regard to the current situation in the Middle East and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Irish Members of the European Parliament, from across a broad spectrum of political groups, wish to echo the recent resolution passed by the Dáil; the position adopted by the Irish government; and the statements of the United Nations Secretary General, and therefore urge the Council of the European Union to call for an immediate ceasefire, as well as urgent efforts to meet the humanitarian needs of people in Gaza. We stress the universal applicability of international humanitarian law, its binding nature on all parties in all conflicts and remind the Council that indiscriminate warfare resulting in the killing of civilians cannot be justified - in any circumstances. Given the intensity of hostilities, and the enormous loss of life that has already occurred, we consider that calling for anything less than an immediate ceasefire would depart from the European Union’s responsibility to uphold international law, to protect human life, and to secure peace. Signed: Clare Daly Mick Wallace Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan Colm Markey Chris MacManus Grace O’Sullivan Billy Kelleher Ciarán Cuffe"
With a comparison between apartheid South Africa and the Israel/Palestine conflict, this doc traces the future of one conflict from the past of another. Weaving the history of apartheid into the complex issues facing Israelis and Palestinians, it highlights the frighteningly similar laws and tools used by Israel and apartheid-era South Africa. It's a dark picture of the present but offers hope based on the peace that South Africa eventually found.
