Law = rules. Action A is legal. Action B isn't. Doing X + Y + Z constitutes action A and so on. Legal arguments have to abide by all rules of logic. Law is one of the most logic heavy fields out there.
You're ignoring the whole Job of a judge, where they put the actions and laws into a procedural, historical and social context (something which LLMs can't emulate) to reach a verdict.
You know what's way closer to "pure logic"? Programming? You know what's the quality of the code LLMs shit out? It's quite bad.
Debating definitions here is useless however, as the end result speaks for itself.
Yes, it does speak for itself: They can't.
Yes, the exams are flawed. This podcast episode takes a look at these supposed AI lawyers.
I also don't agree with your assessment. If an LLM passes a perfect law exam (a thing that doesn't really exist) and afterwards only invents laws and precedent cases, it's still useless.

The legal system does not revolve around logic and even it it was: LLMs can't reason, so they'd be useless, anyways.

It's a very convenient app to sync files between your devices. It's cro-platform and doesn't require any registrations.
Many people (me included) use it to sync their password databases.

Presidents don't have a monopolization on power (in the US);
Of course they do. Just because they "share" their power with a government, doesn't mean the government doesn't monopolize power.
Also, the US already had a confederacy, and it didn't work out so well (even ignoring slavery).
Please read up on what "democratic confederalism" means. It's not comparable to what the so-called US did (at least after Europeans arrived - the Iriquois confederacy is more like it).
The so-called US was always focused on giving power to capitalists, while democratic confederalism is fundamentally socialist/usufruct.
This is beginning to look a lot like it relies upon human goodwill and good faith participation, and it appears like it would be easy to exploit by a bad actor feigning innocence; as we've seen throughout history, there's no shortage of selfish opportunists.
You've got to realize that the current system is de facto succeptible to these bad actors by enabling them to amass power, right?
There will always be a leader(s) at the top, even in a confederacy or a union. You need visionaries, and humans, like other apes, are naturally inclined towards having leaders and being told what to do (it saves mental energy for survival).
I don't think that's true. I think that's a narrative that's very convenient to the powerful but not at all necessary. And there's anthropological evidence that political hierarchies aren't necessary in society.

As if these issues can be easily solved in a lemmy comment by some rando on the internet. How entitled can one be?

Introducing "value" is already the start of the slippery slope towards capitalism, IMHO.
Ithink a lot would be already gained if you have a usufruct system of commons.

The podcast SRSLY Wrong is a strong advocate for the idea. You can find episodes on library socialism on the bottom of the page.

Also, each union would have its leadership with someone or a few at the top
Ideally, there wouldn't be someone like a representative or president at the top

The connotationof fundamental critique? That the system is beyond reform? I'm not sure what you mean, so it can't be that obvious.
Prunebutt 23h ago • 28%
What do you mean? Presidents or Emperors? Either way: monopolisation of power corrupts both the ruled and the rulers.
One example of an alternative: Democratic confederalism

How are people supposed to solve these issues if they don't feel like the current system is beyond reform? Defending the status quo will bring us nowhere.
MMn eine sehr gute Einordnung von Wolf. Erdet etwas und macht auch etwas Ho|fnung.
Hi! Maybe y'all can help me out. I have a Miyoo mini plus and sometimes, I feel the itch to play something just to fiddle around a bit. I'm looking for something that's easy to pick up and pla' for a few minutes up to maybe half an hour. Bonus points if I can play it without needing to use my speech recognizing brain functions. It would be ideal if I can just occupy my hands a pit while still listening to what my colleagues say in remote meetings (I used to use a rubik's cube for that). ADD is a bitch. I already got: - Apotris (really awesome, but a bit stressful after a while) - Wario Ware (can also get a bit stressful) - Pokemon Pinball Saphire and ruby (great, but has gotten a bit repetitive now) - ... that's it It doesn't have to be GB/GBA, but I recon that those systems have the biggest bounty of pick up and play games. The Miyoo Mini Plus can emulate everything up to PS1, so SNES and PS1 would be fine, too.
It's an old video, but Jessie can use some extra traffic, so I'm doing my part.

Edit - Addendum: The video title is quite clickbait-y. The video doesn't want to debunk any "serious" science, but rather investigates how badly done research with no reproducability or horrible statistical significance is used to influence the discourse in favour of regressive politics.
John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom was in the same movie. I first thought that it played right before Shake a tail feather, but I think that was actually right before Aretha Franklin's "Think". Still, there's the connection.

Amazing and very neutral explanation for people who haven't heard any/both sides to the conflict. Can't wait for the next episode.
