Because I just heard you speaking in this deep, menacing growl, and then I turned and saw the red skin and horns and the pitchfork, so naturally I started wondering.

I think at this point we only need to practice two or three more times, and then we'll be ready to start the Universe for real. Now, once more, from the Big Bang!

I blinded the Beholder, how do I perceive beauty now?

The part of the Beholder's eye where beauty resides is separate from the part that he uses to see, so as long as you didn't take out the whole eye, you shouldn't have any issues.

  • Like, okay, I can handle some changes. It'd be nice to have a consistent number of legs, but switching from four in the morning to two in the afternoon -- it's not the worst thing ever. But having to walk on *three* legs in the evening -- that's just ridiculous. What kind of organism walks on an odd number of legs? It's so inconvenient, I can never keep my balance. I swear, whatever mf came up with this system must have had some serious complexes...

What is taking the dolphins so long?

I figured dolphins were in that sweet spot where they were smart enough to be curious about exploring the external world, but not so smart that I'd have to worry about them realizing I was manipulating them and revolting against me the way humans might. I did consider crows and parrots as alternative options, but I didn't want to use animals that small because I didn't want to have to worry about the loss of knowledge every time one of the smarter ones gets eaten by a predator. In retrospect, elephants might actually have been a better starting choice... wish I'd thought of that before they went nearly extinct.

Honestly, I don't think this one really requires a creative twist. Just let him become a dictator, they don't usually lead long or happy lives anyway.

  • I gave them 20 million years, and they still haven't made a telescope.
