...I admit I didn't do the math with the amount of bits they stated xD. Still, it's like 10 times the amount of bits, you can get a stronger EC key with 5 times less bits compared to RSA.

Bitwarden has a passkey service + a paid totp service, so I can always use either to log into whatever within two clicks. Yeah it's less secure than a physical keychain but... Whatever, it's better than passwords and as easy to use.

In any case, if you atore the backup codes in a place where you can lose them, that's on you. Upload them into somewhere you control that has good privacy laws.

I just have a script that repeats the "install-kernel" command and the "bootctl install" one that I run after every big update. It should be fine without them, right? Too many times the kernel one fails in the pacman update chain and I've had to chroot from a live USB too many times to do the bootctl install to put the correct bootloaders in the efi partition to skip the manual bootclt install from my actual PC after updates.

Just in case. It takes 2 seconds vs searching the pendrive, loading, typing in an European keyboard when the live USB asumes it's american, searching the chroot command on my phone... All of this when I just want to relax. Weird stuff I know.

The Spanish name used in an English text has a specific meaning as fas as I know: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conquistador

I really don't get why you are acting so passive aggressively, it's you who referenced them instead of saying "contemporary conquerors", "the crown" or whatever.

    Yes. Conqueror. Yes.

I don't get if you are trying to be smug about it or whatever, but the "conquerors" were a specific warring campaign soldiers deployed to conquer the rest of america, specifically the Aztecs since those weren't "easy" to convert to catholicism given that they already had a religion.

You specifically said "conquistador" standards, which although it's an Spanish word that translates to conqueror, makes reference to a specific group that wasn't even formed when Columbus died.

Anyway, yes he was bad but I don't get why no fucking one mentions Hernan Cortez, who massacred waaay more people, and went with the intent to murder and dominate them from the very beginning.

Minor edit: he wasn't removed of his titles because he was bad/evil, the Spaniard crows didn't care about the murder of natives. He was removed because he became a tyrant of anyone who lived in the Caribbean, be it native or setter.

Not by conquistador standards, conquistadors weren't a thing when he died. He was the Caribbean governor and conquistadors conquered the rest of americas some years after he died.

What?? Her being a half elf is a big part of her character arc, full elves are the racist ones! Being depicted as a full elf when she's a half elf is what's racist here.

And according to Spanish history, Columbus wasn't the one that did the enslaving. After settling and making a small base he returned with news and then the conquerors went for war, the most notorious figure being Hernan Cortez.

It's crazy the amount of Columbus hate I read on american websites and no mention of Cortez, who was way way worse.

Indiana Jones has a scene where he swaps the treasure with a fake to avoid triggering the trap, but fails and has the scene running from the ball.

This is a cat, so instead of taking the treasure he instinctually throws it to the ground, as cats do. Then he runs from the ball anyway.

If you back up the folder of a steam installed game that doesn't need steam to run, what's the difference?

Owning the copy in a legal sense doesn't affect most of the userbase tbh.

You are right, it's just that in Spanish a "pomelo" is a grapefruit, and I was unaware of the whole rabbit hole that is the hybridwtion of the pomelo, mandarin, citrus and all that. I deleted my old comment because I was just confused.

Thanks to /u/azvasKvklenko@sh.itjust.works for mentioning KDE window rules. In KDE, we can add rules for windows so that they behave in specific ways. One rule that can be added is the position: remember rule, and it's possible to make that rule apply to all windows by removing the match field. This way, closing and reopening windows keeps them where they were. This is a very typical complaint about wayland that a lot of people have, something that apparently worked natively with X11 and annoyed me to no end since I had to position all the windows every day when logging into my desktop. No more! I hope this helps :) https://imgur.com/a/zrvbRPI
