Because it's not about saving lives, it never has been. It's about control.

Because people "just want it to work".
from what I've read on bsky is that people don't like Mastodon due to the instances. They don't want to figure that out. Either because they're too lazy or because they've spent so many years utilizing apps that "just work" that it's beyond them.
That's the meat and potatoes as to why Mastodon isn't taking off, it's "too much work" to use Mastodon.

So Star Trek Online is an MMORPG and has been around for a several years now. In the game there's a story, a convoluted one, but a story none the less.
Now imagine every single thing that has ever happened in the entirety of Star Trek regardless of tv show, movie, timeline, multiverse, animated show, whatever. everything. think of everything that has ever had "Star Trek" in it's title. got it? good. it's in the game. and in the story.
One aspect is the mirror universe which is a decent chunk of the story and it's a good excuse to bring back old Star Trek actors whose characters might be dead. Like there's A LOT of mirror universe stuff in the game.
really at the end of the day Star Trek Online is essentially the multiverse nexus of all Star Trek.

The funny thing about apple is just how far they've moved away from Jobs' "vision".
It was clearly evident when they released the Apple Pencil. Jobs hated Stylus'. one of the reasons he killed the newton, and a reason why the iphone/ipad never originally had one as he was quoted as saying "why would I need a stylus? I have 5 of them on my hand"
I mean Apple is like a cult that worship a dead god who would burn current Apple to the ground and start over if he came back.

appreciate what you have now. take your time, you have tmie right now, don't worry about finding your dream situation in live be it work, love, living, whatever just experience life. you're young, you hopefully have some money, so experience it if you can. If you're going to drink, do it now cause when you hit my age hangovers last 2 days and after one or two beers you're pissing up a storm.
Don't complain about a week taking forever and you hope the weekend comes soon because once you hit your 40s all that "time" snowballs together and you'll be begging the days to go by slower. Things start speeding up and people start leaving you and you have no choice but to go along for the ride and hope for the best. You're still in your 20s, cherish the time you have. hold onto it. apprecaite it. Take as many photos as you can, take as many videos as you can and save them. Friends and lovers will come and go but those memories from your 20s will last forever. make it easy to remember them.

sorry I'm new to Linux but most of the people I've spoken to on various linux discords the consensus seemed to be that Mint was fantastic to start out on but most moved on to something else after awhile.

If in the future you don't want to dual boot you should check out CachyOS. I use that as my daily driver right now and it's great for gaming.

that's generally how it works with Mint. you install it, use it for a week or two and then move onto a distro that better suites your needs. Mint is a fantastic introduction and sure many will stick with it for awhile I think most move on from it fairly quickly.

one of the best MCU movies in awhile, that they even acknowledge in the film. felt like one of the first marvel movies that was a real love letter to fans of the comic books as there were quite a few deep cuts from the comic books. Cassandra Nova was prety much ripped right from the comics as far as her looks and personality goes. Lady Deadpool, Marvel Zombies Deadpool, Ultimate Deadpool, Kidpool, Deadpool 2099, Zenpool...like wow I was even surprised they had Deadpool 2099 in it. the first live action version of a 2099 character.
great movie. and man Gambits costume was just spot on, even had the weird cross hatch neck thing. pulled right from the comics and cartoon.

back in the late 00's there was (maybe still is, who knows) an online service called "gamefly" where you could rent games. At the time the DS pokemon games would allow you to plug in a pokemon GBA cart and copy the pokemon from the GBA to your DS. So I would constantly rent GBA Pokemon games in hopes of finding something good on them to copy to my DS Pokemon game. I had it all scheduled out and everything. You could also wondertrade hacked pokemon or like really good pokemon online. I don't remember exactly HOW you did it but I do remembering doing it.

Chad Raymond Hill who refuses to accept donatoins or sponsorships of any kind.
That being said the people that maintain the filter lists I believe, don't quoute me on this, you can donate to a few of them. Really depends if they mention it on their githubs though and you pretty much have to go about finding them on your own as there's no real centralized list of all the people that contribue to the filter lists.

it's total bullshit. For example if you use ublock origin every now and again sure you might get ads that pop up, but AT MOST that lasts for a day, generally it'll last a couple hours as the team at ublock update their lists to block ads again. There's no need, literally zero need, to remove it from your extensions. and at worst, like I got yesterday, you'll just see a black screen that buffers for a bit before the video plays. the ad is still blocked.
you can also circumvent most of this if you use freetube. OR if you just want music the youtube-dl script on linux. I also ditched spotify for youtube-dl as I can also download entire playlists with it.

as far as dead name goes, and again this is debatable, it's in reference to the characters no longer using their "Matrix names" in the "real world" i.e. Neo no longer goes by Thomas Anderson. People will reference the fact that Agent Smith constantly refers to Neo as "Mr. Anderson" thus constanly using his "dead name" in reference to Trans people being called their "dead names" after they transition.
As far as the character goes the Wachowski Sisters have said that originally Switch was supposed to be a woman in the real world and a man within the Matrix but it got nixed by Warner Brothers as being too controversial for the time.
