It’s like you’re super engaged and feel like you could do x forever until you suddenly crash. Why are people arguing sentience and not the fact that this is another attempt to completely remove a sector of the workforce the way Covid was the conduit to remove a complete sector of the outside world? This shit is valued at nearly 200 billion dollars

I a long-winded way of saying “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” This irks me chat. This is an elephant in the room that should be causing mass chaos

It’s just really really hard for me to accept I guess, but that quality is super important in climbing the fascist corporate ladder. What’s the site consensus on project 2025?

It really just seems like fearmongering about things most marginalized people go through everyday. Is it just the same” old things will continue to get worse as a result of everything infinitely growing” that’s been happening since the US was founded? I saw some goon from the heritage foundation go on tv and threaten leftists but idk if it has crazy uncle energy or whether that’s something someone with actual power is thinking

I’ve only dated two people (I think I’m about to fuck this current situation up) but it seems like I don’t know how to handle it when the novelty of a new relationship somewhat calms down on my end and I’m dealing with someone who is ostensibly over attached and saying all of these wild things and love bombing me. Things seemed to be going so well for us, but they suddenly became super physical when their lack of physicality was the exact reason I chose to date them in the first place, and that sort of took me aback :/ I’m posting in the nd forum because I suspect this is an example of not being able to deal with change (we’re on the same wavelength for a bit then I return to reality while they stay up in the clouds). It also takes up a loooooooot of energy. Shit suuuuuuuuuuuucks because I truly thought I had found the one :/

Honest to god, it was ingrained into my head as a child that he wanted to kill anyone who used a computer. But seeing how ridiculous that sounds today and how it sounds eerily similar to any critique of capitalism, I’m thinking he has *parts* of a communist ideal. Fuck me. Just got a new job as a developer and everyone on my team is creaming over chatgpt

I really fucking hate it here. I am actually hoping that this results in  absolutely destroying the internet (because anything is better than the most lukewarm regulation I guess. I have yet to see one implementation of chatgpt that is not just stealing someone’s script on stackoverflow or some forum from decades ago and synthesizing it with some other information. Totally doesn’t violate any IP laws whatsoever though! Where are the philosophers when you need them? All of this shit is a consequence of Zuckerberg and a host of other Silicon Valley sociopaths bypassing any semblance of learning about humanity and locking themselves in a dark room and feeding their fragile egos because they can’t interact with humans. Humanity really did a great job allowing these guys to exist 👍 lol it’s honestly just going to get worse and worse. More and more people will be on the periphery of mass inequality with this garbage and just enough of them will have enough to afford the latest wire tap that brings them circuses.

There’s also the question of has there been ever been any radical media (I’d argue no), but I feel like civil war could have been so much better had they actually taken a side you know? And I feel like there is some value in being on the fence from an entertainment POV but I sort of expected art from A24 Like does anyone remember that one show (adult swim maybe) where they pushed boundaries so fucking much to the point of asking a child to ask people on Wall Street who they exploited? It really seems like the daily show on the street segments mocking people with no power other than who they choose to vote for has taken over. Any day now wages will increase I guess. Any day now the price of a house will be affordable to a human who makes an average salary.
