and the fail is on the American public schooling system
I'm going to have to disagree with you there. This is something that should be common sense or taught by parents. Public schools should not be touching subjects such as "should I light explosives on my body".

But how does it work, then?

Hill was restrained before he experienced a medical emergency
Uh huh. And we're all sure that medical emergency would have happened if he hadn't been assaulted by police.

He's just old and unhealthy and can't handle the schedule.
But Harris being smarter than him has definitely upset him.

Despite the age, it remains extremely popular and the dev is still active.

This could be used for good to help speed up outreach efforts, but I think we all know how this is going to be used.

They'll find tons of companies with better work from home policies but which don't pay as well.
And the whole thing about being a dev at Amazon being awful is largely untrue. I live in Seattle. I work in tech. My spouse and friend group work in tech. Some have worked at Amazon or still do.
Amazon largely treats their devs pretty well, but it depends on whether or not you have a good manager, just like any other company.
It's just popular to shit on Amazon.

Sure would have been nice when I worked in the public sector. But now I'm disabled. And still have to deal with student loan debt.
Not that I'm opposed to this. I just wish it had happened a decade ago.

Yeah right. The governments and big businesses don't give a shit as long as profits are currently flowing.

Similarly, I enjoyed cheap sake until I had expensive sake. I was better off before!

Similar for me, except I'm just an avid home cook. I can make so many things better at home that I won't eat them anywhere else anymore.

I remember asking about breaks before accepting a job and explaining that I take a 10-minute walk every afternoon. I was assured that was fine! Until I was working the job and actually did so every day. Then it wasn't fine.
At a low paying non-profit, no less.
About 4 years ago, I watched a movie which I enjoyed but can't for the life of me find. It involved a white couple getting lost in deep rural Appalachia and getting taken in by a cult-like small family in the middle of nowhere. I don't remember the details very well since it was a few years ago and I watched it pretty late at night. I think it involved the woman being drawn in while the man wasn't, and there being murder (in a shed?), but that could be me mixing different movies up. Does anyone know what it might have been?
