It's still not likely to be common negligence; weed scales and powder scales are generally different scales (different levels of precision, and different maximum weights), unless you're dealing with small amounts of weed or large amounts of powder.

And that's just science; think of all the actual conspiracies that actually happened. MKULTRA is perfect conspiracy theorist material and actually real, but that second part means it's boring

Same thing as athlete's foot, just, well, crotch instead of feet. It's fungal, and usually spread by communal showers.

Blue for right wing, red for left wing has been standard since forever. What colour was the USSR?

Regarding point number 2, I have no doubt we'll be able to develop systems that process visual/video data as well as or better than people. I just know we aren't there yet, and Tesla certainly isn't.
I like to come at the argument from the other direction though; humans drive with eyesight because that's all we have. If I could be equipped with sonar or radar or lidar, of fucking course I'd use it, wouldn't you?

That's a matter of convention, not technical definition. A byte can be any number of bits, depending on hardware. For a while 6 bit bytes were common. RFC 791 refers to an 8 bit byte as an octet

I'm still waiting for the full-planet weather model. That will be something.
That's going to be a hard one, given that past weather patterns are increasingly not predictive of future weather patterns, because something keeps dumping CO2 into the atmosphere and raising the global temperature

The basic Chromecast was discontinued, and the Chromecast functionality was rolled into Google TV. Existing Chromecasts should keep working, hope they don't have any major security bugs though, because I doubt those are getting patched

Just make IDs accessible to citizens at low costs
This is where you're missing it. The point of requiring voter ID in America is to make it as difficult and inaccessible as they can

Even when it was illegal here, it was significantly less illegal than in the states; scientific and medical studies would have already been allowed.

Whoever made the chart presumably thought "grade school" meant K-12, which it does not.
Easy mistake though, Fight Club got a particularly lewd line past both the censors and the actress by relying on that misunderstanding
If I'm injured and need a blood transfusion, where are paramedics most likely to go for the needle; is it the vein in my arm, same as for blood donation? Wherever it is, if I get a tattoo noting my blood type, are you going to trust the tattoo and give me my blood type, or would you disregard it and go with O- just in case? I'm getting some tattoo work done anyways, and I really like the idea of a Canadian Blood Services logo plus my blood type wherever paramedics would see it, but it's pointless if they won't believe it
When reading a web page within Connect, it would be nice if long-pressing on links in the webpage would give a popup with the option to open the link in an external browser (and probably also an option to just copy the link). I frequently find myself linked to Wikipedia from a Lemmy comment, and then want to open other links from that wiki page, so then I have to open the page I'm on externally and refind my spot in the article. Having the same options when long-pressing a link in a comment/post would be nice as well.
**Edit**: there's already a setting for it, another user pointed it out. Ignore me :) ~~Currently, when you block an instance or community, it's blocked app-wide. I had blocked various NSFW communities and instances on my main account so that they don't show up in my All feed, but now I can't access them from my NSFW account unless I use a different app to do so, or repeatedly unblock and reblock them as needed.~~ ~~Can we instead make block lists on a per-account basis (or have the option of account-associated or global blocking)?~~
The text when I try to type comments (but not the text in the search bar or, as I'm just now learning, here in the 'post body' text box) is white, and I can't find the setting to change it. Obviously I could change my background back to the default blue that it was, but that's the opposite of a solution. Anybody know?
