This episode was a noticeable improvement over the previous one, which itself was above the show's running average. I'm getting my hopes up for the quality of the rest of the season, if not their odds of getting to chapter 128 at their current 3-chapter-per-episode pace.

Why don't they advertise these things? Can they be bothered to list all the formats they support somewhere?

The even more efficient example was Mega Man 3. The standard rip format for NES music is far more efficient but also far more complex, requiring specialized skills to rip instead of a copy of ZSNES and a fast finger on the F1 button.
Edit: the standard rip format for NES music is NSF, but an expanded version NSFe is better if you can get it because it supports metadata like song names and lengths.

Everything filed under "Chiptune", excluding the AT3 and MAB files which are effectively general purpose music formats, comes to 1.14 GB for 4211 items totaling 158:50:29. There are a lot of duplicates in there, because for a lot of these items it's more trouble to hunt down a replacement copy than it is to store a backup.
The catch, of course, is that it's all retro videogame music from bleep to bloop.

Chiptune formats for retro videogame music can be very efficient. Just picking two with particularly good music, I have a 21 KB (0.02 MB) file storing 28:30 of music and 4.72 MB of files storing 1:54:48 of music, both at source quality.
The catch is that they are designed exclusively to rip chiptunes from retro videogames as close as the format designers and player coders could manage to the original. So even the oversized ones like the 4.72 MB of files extracted from a 3 MB game are going to be far smaller than a general use format like opus. But you can't encode your own music in the format without going to massive effort to code it like you would an authentic chiptune, and you're unlikely to like the results.

Ten chiptune formats, two other videogame music formats (.at3 and .mab), WMA, IT, AAC, MP2, and MIDI.

Because hard drives aren't getting any bigger lately and I don't want to multiply the size of my videogame music collection by ten?

The preview for this week's episode is mostly Aoshi monologuing, but it's funny rather than insightful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lh0ciz8yWDk

Strawberry doesn't support about a dozen audio formats I use, so until it's got wider support I have to pass.

I think the first anime handled Aoshi's thought process in this episode more clearly. In this one it's as opaque as the manga, even though Aoshi got a little more camera time.

I don't know Lamy pens, and isopropyl alcohol damages some pens. I'd read the care guide before doing that.

Solid. Compared to the old anime, music isn't quite as good, bloodier, more focus on Aoshi.

You are supposed to rinse out the nib and feed periodically. There are several ways to do it, but at least rinse the nib and feed until the water that drips out of the nib isn't obviously colored, soak it in some water for an hour or so to get even more gunk out, then put the nib point down on a paper towel or something to suck even more old ink out, and then give it some time to dry.
You don't need to do as much if you're just refilling it with the same color, but since you're running into trouble might as well rinse it out fairly well.
That just might fix the problem if it's built-up dried ink clogging up the pen.

Seems more promising than last season, but I'm not sure how they plan to get through the entire arc in just 23 episodes at this pace.

That's reassuring. I took staining the cartridge as a sign of things to come.

I forget how long I let the diluted ammonia (about 10% household ammonia, 90% water) sit in the cartridge. I don't think it was overnight.
I tested Diamine Imperial Purple in a reused Sailor cartridge before putting it in a demonstrator, and the result was a stained cartridge. I love the color, but I haven't had any luck getting it out of my cartridge with water, soap, a little bit of ammonia, and time. I don't write much, so a pen could stay inked up for months on end. Is there a way to get this color out of plastic? Is it safe to use in converters and demonstrators without staining them too?

You said "That's pretty specific" and gave a definition of "tankie". The reply "Tankie is a pretty specific term" affirms what you said, and because that's the end of the reply implicitly affirms your definition of "tankie". So it does answer your question with "yes".
I don't have the skillset to teach conversational implicatures and inference in English, even my own dialect. So I can't help with all problems like this.
In practice, it's even more specific, because "tankie" wouldn't cover a self-proclaimed leftist who claims that Dr. Francia's dictatorship is a model all states should aspire to. "Tankie" means "self-proclaimed leftist who simps for self-proclaimed Leninist brutal authoritarian states".

Thank you! I don't even plan to subscribe to any of their content, but they stuck out in a sea of instances that sounded like Canadian legal problems waiting to happen.
quakers.social shows up on our list of blocked instances, but looking at the most recent posts at https://quakers.social/public/local I can't see why. They seem like a harmless group with a lot of religious reposts. Does sh.itjust.works have a policy of reciprocal blocking or something like that?

I use the extension Simple Tab Groups for Firefox.
Are there any inks that wash out of clothing very quickly and easily? I'm especially interested in inks that wash out cleanly without stain treatment. Edit: Washing quickly and easily off the toddler is a bonus.
This copies a post by grailly on Reddit. Most games have adopted popular RPG mechanics and it's widely accepted that "everything's an RPG now". RPGs are also some of the biggest and most popular games around. I'd argue that Puzzle Game mechanics (aka puzzles) are even more widespread than RPG mechanics throughout the media. However, Puzzle Games themselves are pretty niche and basically never get any big budget titles. This gets more surprising when realizing Puzzle Games *are* very popular; Tetris might just be the most recognizable video game, Portal (Portal 2 might be the only AAA puzzle game?!) is insanely beloved, wordle took the world by storm last year, sudoku and crosswords are still in the newspaper every day, Candy Crush... Why do you think Puzzle Games are relegated to being indie or AA? I thought about it a bit and came up with some unbaked responses which I hope you will add to: * People want to kill stuff in AAA games. To which I answer, can't we kill stuff in puzzle games? * There's little point to making Puzzle Games more expensive. Would having The Witness or Talos Principle pushed to AAA status make them any better? * "Puzzle" is a recessive genre. Add anything to a puzzle game and they aren't considered puzzle games anymore. So making a AAA Puzzle game will basically remove its Puzzle Game consideration. Puzzle + exploration = adventure. Puzzle + fighting = Action adventure. Puzzle + story = walking simulator, etc.
What mods are highly recommended for Crusader Kings II? I haven't gotten the new one yet -- had to get a computer that can run it first -- so I'm still interested in mods for the old one.
What do Tibetan Buddhist laypeople do as routine practice? Also, does it vary a great deal from person to person or group to group? All the practices suggested online add up to a part-time job or more, so I have to wonder what recommendations are given to people with jobs and small children (or demanding pets).
