I know not an ideal solution but after trying lots of foss applications, we decided to make our own solution. Other than that Nextcloud Deck is more than enough for most use cases

If I have to convert all handwritten notes to a text, then there is no need to use Notes app. I can't use OneNote either
I have Samsung Tab 9 Ultra and S23. I'm taking notes on tablet and I can easily search my handwritten notes. It's working great. But S23 can't find or search anything about OCR. Same account, same notes, latest updates etc.. I guess Samsung won't even try to search via OCR if the device does not have S Pen capability. Any workaround or alternative? Because this is a critical workflow for me. I'm taking notes and I have to find it whenever I need without tablet.

I develop on emacs with same PC config, run sql servers locally, maintain servers, office and mail stuff, all kind of communications, file operations, casting screen to a TV or projector, very good stylus and note taking abilities on my samsung tab 9 ultra dex mode with 4 days of battery life. You may think as an alternative

Hi, I'm trying to use my 7.1 surround system on Arch Linux PC with pipewire. Currently 1 DP connected to the main monitor and 1 HDMI connected to the 7.1 sound system. Sound system has 4 HDMI IN and 1 HDMI OUT to the TV. First issue is without activating second monitor I can't output any sound. Second issue is sound is always 2 channel. There are no other options on pavucontrol app. What i'm trying to achieve is 1. Using only main monitor and outputting sound through HDMI to sound system ~~2. Outputting both video and sound through HDMI, which is working but only on 2 channels.~~ Thanks in advance EDIT: silly me, I changed HDMI cable and it detected all possible audio outputs including PCM 7.1
Hi, All I want is a notebook with amd cpu, no dgpu, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd and most importantly 120-144hz display. Am i out of luck or my search skills are just bad
Another awesome update is approaching!
Is this possible in boost? I couldn't find it on settings
Today usual updating replaced probably all K apps with extra/K. It didn't break anything but it was weird and scary when it's 100s of apps
Hi, Today suddenly an horizontal line appeared on my laptop display. It's visible on BIOS screen and desktop. HDMI and DP output are fine. How bad it's? EDP cable replacement will fix it or not? It's guarantee is expired 5 days ago :( ![image](https://files.catbox.moe/se1w7z.jpg)
Is fedora good for hybrid graphics laptops with nvidia? I want use gnome xorg or i3wm later installed top of that
I can see launcher and hit play but then nothing happens, It just stays on launcher. I tried --skip-launcher option and other Proton versions but none of them have worked. I'm on amd gpu and Proton-GE sometimes throws and error of "failed to collect displays" message, any idea? SOLVED: apparently sway was the problem and fixed it with below startup command echo env --unset=SDL_VIDEODRIVER mangohud "%command%
Hi, I want to buy a laptop for working and very light gaming on to go. I'm currently looking for Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 with AMD CPU and NVIDIA GPU. I'm going to use Fedora or Arch Linux with i3wm. The problem is I'm not sure if dual gpu setup is going to work or not. All i want to use igpu for all tasks until more power needed, then it needs to switch automatically to dgpu Is this possible if so is there any good guide about it? Thanks

Hi, I'm using the function below (found on somewhere else) ``` (defun my-magit-fetch-all-repositories () "Run `magit-fetch-all' in all repositories returned by `magit-list-repos`." (interactive) (dolist (repo (magit-list-repos)) (message "Fetching in %s..." repo) (let ((default-directory repo)) (magit-fetch-all (magit-fetch-arguments))) (message "Fetching in %s...done" repo))) ``` This was working fine and successfully fetching from all of my repos. But recently it randomly generates an error on a random repo with the message of: ``` magit fatal: Could not read from remote repository. Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists. ``` If I try to `magit-fetch-all` manually then it works and does not throw the error since I have correct rights and ssh key. If I re-run `my-magit-fetch-all-repositories`, it randomly generates same error on different repo or repos. Have any idea on this?

Hi, Today me and other 5 Ubuntu users with similar setup had an issue with brave. It glitches with rendering, completely missing fonts and some ui elements. `brave-browser --disable-gpu` fixes it. Anybody else have the issue and possibly a fix without disabling hardware acceleration? `1.52.130 Chromium: 114.0.5735.198 (Official Build) (64-bit) ` EDIT: For future reference here is the fix. I think it's related to new MESA update `rm -rf ~/.config/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Default/GPUCache` and restart brave
Hi, My system sometimes crashes suddenly and reboots itself. It's random, browsing web, idling, checking mails, I couldn't find the trigger. This is the only log I could find about the crash `mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 1: Machine Check: 0 Bank 5: baa0000000030150 microcode: CPU23: patch_level=0x0a201025 fbcon: Taking over console mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 0 MISC d012000100000000 SYND 4d000002 IPID 500b000000000 mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 2:a20f10 TIME 1689019332 SOCKET 0 APIC 2 microcode a201025` EDIT: my thermals are fine btw, 40C at idle and 70C at max on heavy tasks
I almost give up. I tried many many things but my samsung s23 is killing important apps and I miss notifications. As soon as I unlock my phone, all of them showing up instantly. I'm missing messages and important notifications. I'm constantly checking phone because of it. BTW, it's working sometimes I don't know how and when it decides to kill my apps. I disabled any memory and battery related optimizations and mark my important apps as unrestricted and never sleep but it doesn't work mostly EDIT: it's definitely duckduckgo app tracker. It somehow kills some apps. Disabled it and all of my issues are gone away
I have creality cr 10 smart pro and totally new to printing. I calibrated it well with cube and heat tower prints. Using PLA at 210C and 60C bed temperature. I'm having this issue sometimes. How do I prevent this Thank you ![photo](https://images2.imgbox.com/b8/6c/cR4DotAX_o.jpg)
